STGCC 2012 Part 1: Hot Toys

Had a blast at the Singapore Toy Game and Comic Convention (STGCC)! It may have ended yesterday but for me I'm reliving it all over again as I go through the tons of photos which I took. I'll be putting up several different segments and I hope to get it all done by the end of the week. First up is the segment on Hot Toys.

Hot Toys once again had the most popular and best decorated booth. It was packed with fans and photographers.

Watch where you're going, you never know when the Hulk might decide to come crashing out!

Many figures were on display, ranging from the Avengers to Predators. I love the Avengers so let's start there. As always, you can click on the images to enlarge. These are just a sample of what was there.

They also had the older Iron Man figures on display.

Here are some figures from the Batman movies

Hope you have somewhere to display the vehicles when they're released.
(Update: It seems the Bat will unlikely be produced. At least we got to see it on display!)

The upcoming Dark Knight Rises 1/4th scale Batman. He's big!

Several more upcoming figures were on display, including the prototype of the Chitauri Footsoldier, Wolverine from X-men: The Last Stand, Professor X from X-Men: First Class, Barney Ross from The Expendables 2.

The exclusives for this year were:

  • Captain America Limited Edition Collectable Figurine from Captain America: The First Avenger.
  • Lt. Jim Gordon Collectable Figure from The Dark Knight
  • Angelica Collectable Figure from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

  •
Fans were in for a treat as you could have the exclusives signed by four of the Hot Toys sculptors. Mr J.C Hong, Production Director and Chief Painter of Hot Toys  was unable to make it to the event. In his place was Mr T.J Cha. He was responsible for sculpting the head, arms, body and accessories for various figures. His works include the Iron Man series, The Terminator: 1/4th scale Endoskeleton Collectable figure, Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee, Predators: Noland and so on.

From Left to Right: Ms K.A Kim, Ms Yulli Choi, Mr Kojun, Mr T.J Cha

Mr Howard Chan, President of Hot Toys was also at the event.
