From Marvel Universe wave 19 here are the Future Foundation Spider-man (FF Spidey) and the variant, the Amazing Bag Man. I actually got Bag Man from wave 21. I do not know if he has appeared locally in the wave 19 assortment.
The packaging is the same for both figures.
I don't like FF Spidey. I think he looks like an alien, especially the eyes. Creepy. Still, he's Spider-man and I need him for the Future Foundation and for my Spider-man costume collection. Love that he's on the better articulated base body. And I like that there's a wash on his costume but I wish that it was more consistant. He looks a little segmented because of it. The black logo and design were well done, the lines are sharp.
Bag Man is simply awesome! Its such a cool and unique figure. I never would have thought he would be produced. He's on the same base body as FF Spidey except here he's barefooted and of course there's a paper bag on his head. The bag is not simply a smooth piece of plastic. You can see where its supposed to be folded and there are also wrinkles on it. The best parts are the jagged edges at the opening. The paint is great and I like the black wash.
The paper bag unfortunately is glued to his head. I failed to remove it... but others have managed to do so. There's a nice Peter Parker headsculpt underneath.
The collectible comic shot for both figures is of the Amazing Spider-man #658.
Only the FF Spidey comes with an accessory. Its a web line which we have seen before. This time it comes in a light bluish white colour.
They both have the same articulation. They have a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, single hinge elbows, wrist swivel, torso pivot, waist rotation, ball joint hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.
Some comparison shots.
The "Fantastic Four" and the Future Foundation.
Great figures. So which costumes are left. Let's see off the top of my head, Spider-Armour, Captain Universe, Big Time. Hope Hasbro gets round to them. Thanks for viewing!
