My Little Pony - Celebrating the Magic of Friendship

Singapore, 4 August 2013 - Yesterday, My Little Pony fans gathered along Orchard Road to celebrate International Friendship Day which falls on the first Sunday of August (4th August 2013). The outing, which was inspired by the popular My Little Pony (MLP) animation series whose tagline is "Friendship is Magic", was open to the public and invited everyone to celebrate their relationship with one another (friends and family alike) through a photo opportunity with My Little Pony models. The event attracted fans (and neophytes) and people of all ages - this included young families, grandparents and grandchildren, young children and teenagers, as they captured a moment of their friendship.

A special My Little Pony Mystery Bag and a My Little Pony Cutie Mark Tattoo Sticker were given out to fans and members of the public on that day.

Singapore – In celebration of the International Friendship Day which falls on the first Sunday of August (4^thAugust 2013), pop-culture phenomenon, MY LITTLE PONY, from branded play company, Hasbro, will be holding a fan outing this Saturday, 3^rdAugust 2013 along the Orchard Road shopping belt. The outing, inspired by the popular My Little Pony (MLP) animation series which bears the tagline ‘Friendship is Magic’, is open to the public and invites everyone to celebrate the premise of ‘Friendship’ with each other – regardless of whether you’re a fan or a neophyte.

The event, which will take place between 2 – 6pm this Saturdayalong Orchard Road starting from ION Orchard, urges fans to come fully decked in their MLP-inspired costumes and attire as a sign of solidarity in order to spread the ‘magic of friendship’ even further.

As a token of appreciation to MLP fans everywhere, Hasbro Singapore has prepared MLP-goodies that will be given out to the first 1000 fans who join in the festivities this Saturday. In addition, fans can also stand to receive a MLP ‘cutie mark’, which pays homage to the animated series where iconic symbols magically appear on a pony’s flank once they discover their special talent in life.

Fans are also encouraged to take as many photos and post their photos onto social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) with the hashtag #HasbroSingapore in celebration of the event.
