Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Sergeant Kup

I tried to keep to only characters who have appeared in the cartoon. But having seen some images online, I thought Kup looked pretty cool and so I got him. And a good thing is some stores had a discount on it.

Interestingly some European cards have showed up at retail. The regular US card is also available if it matters to you.

His vehicle mode is a truck. Its neat and compact. He comes with two barrel like guns.

You can attach them on the back.

Or at the sides of the doors for some road mayhem.

Here's various angles of him in vehicle mode. If the slideshow isn't working properly, just refresh.

Cruising along with his fellow Autobots.

Here's his transformation sequence. You need to use a bit of force to open the hood. I was afraid I was going to break it that I actually called a friend to ask him about it.

If the slideshow isn't working properly, just refresh.

This is the official robot mode. Like many others, I found his "shoulder covers" silly. He looks fine from the front but rather sad from the sides. And the hood sticking out like that is a bit of an eyesore.

So I left the whole cover portion on his back. Some others have taken a step further and reattached the hood in the reverse direction.

Here's various views of him in this slightly changed robot mode. If the slideshow isn't working properly, just refresh.

This figure is supposed to be Ironhide. You can tell from the way his head is sculpted. If you prefer him to Kup, just wait for a bit. He will be released from TakaraTomy. I think the two will look good together.

Here are some shots of Kup in action. He's got good articulation. I would have liked if he had some waist or torso articulation. You can attach the guns to his forearms. I prefer him to hold them.

The guns may be combined to form a larger one.

Size wise, he's rather small.

But that won't stop him from kicking some Decepticon behinds.

He should be available in most stores. Thanks for viewing!

Marvel Universe Scarlet Witch

We finally have a good looking Scarlet Witch figure.

She's got a great headsculpt. She has a very good likeness to how she appeared in the comics. Her hair is very well done. She's on the newer better articulated female base body similar to X-23 and Jubilee. Her cape is too long. You need to position it some way back for her to stand properly. Its going to eat some space in the display. But on the other hand it's less likely that she'll fall. The paint is good overall. Its a little too clean and shiny but that's okay. There were some brown splatters on the face of my figure. I managed to clean it up a bit. On close up it looks like she has several moles.

She comes with a hex effect accessory.

I didn't know where the comic shot is from. So I did a quick search and found it to be from the cover of Avengers Origins: Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, wrist swivel, torso pivot, ball joint hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. Her neck hinge articulation is restricted by her hair and cape.

Comparison shots. Like X-23, she's too tall.

Something's not right here...

I like the classic rosters more than the modern teams.

That's all for now, thanks for viewing!

Marvel Universe Future Foundation Spider-man & the Amazing Bag Man

From Marvel Universe wave 19 here are the Future Foundation Spider-man (FF Spidey) and the variant, the Amazing Bag Man. I actually got Bag Man from wave 21. I do not know if he has appeared locally in the wave 19 assortment.

The packaging is the same for both figures.

I don't like FF Spidey. I think he looks like an alien, especially the eyes. Creepy. Still, he's Spider-man and I need him for the Future Foundation and for my Spider-man costume collection. Love that he's on the better articulated base body. And I like that there's a wash on his costume but I wish that it was more consistant. He looks a little segmented because of it. The black logo and design were well done, the lines are sharp.

Bag Man is simply awesome! Its such a cool and unique figure. I never would have thought he would be produced. He's on the same base body as FF Spidey except here he's barefooted and of course there's a paper bag on his head. The bag is not simply a smooth piece of plastic. You can see where its supposed to be folded and there are also wrinkles on it. The best parts are the jagged edges at the opening. The paint is great and I like the black wash.

The paper bag unfortunately is glued to his head. I failed to remove it... but others have managed to do so. There's a nice Peter Parker headsculpt underneath.

The collectible comic shot for both figures is of the Amazing Spider-man #658.

Only the FF Spidey comes with an accessory. Its a web line which we have seen before. This time it comes in a light bluish white colour.

They both have the same articulation. They have a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, single hinge elbows, wrist swivel, torso pivot, waist rotation, ball joint hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Some comparison shots.

The "Fantastic Four" and the Future Foundation.

Great figures. So which costumes are left. Let's see off the top of my head, Spider-Armour, Captain Universe, Big Time. Hope Hasbro gets round to them. Thanks for viewing!
