Captain America Movie Series 6" Captain America

The movie Thor was great and this Cap looks just as good!

The figure has a decent likeness to Chris Evans, its more prominent at certain angles. From the front view, the face is a little chubby. Maybe it would be better if the cheeks were thinner. The image on the back of the card looks better. Looks like the figure has different lips too. The costume looks great, excellent detail. I think the boots are too big and thick, they look the same size as his thighs. No major complaints on the paint application, like the wash on the white areas. The little red on his upper chest does not really align with the red straps on his abdomen.

He of course comes with his shield. There are two straps which enables him to hold it securely with either hand. Would have preferred if they made it so he can carry the shield on his back as well.

He also comes with pistol and a machine gun. Would have liked a strap for the machine gun.

The handle of the pistol is rather big. But he can hold it properly and it fits nicely in the holster. The catch can be closed properly too.

Articulation. The head can rotate and look up and down. Shoulders have ball and hinge joints. There's bicep swivel, double jointed elbows. Wrists have swivel and hinge. Torso pivot. Hips have ball and hinge joints. There's upper thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankles have swivel and hinge.

A comparison with the comic based figures. He's smaller than ML1 Cap.

The movie bunch is growing. Would have liked Cap to be taller but I'm okay with it.

This movie Cap is another great figure. Can't wait for the Avengers movie and more figures to hit!

Revoltech War Machine

Iron Man has a  new playmate.

He looks off. Can't quite put my finger on it. Looking at him from the front, I think the center chest section which goes down to his pelvis is too wide.  And with the V shape "pants", it makes it seem his abdomen is long. He's out of proportion. The torso is too big and legs too thin, the calf area especially. He looks awkward in certain poses. The armor is flatter compared to the Hasbro version. The higher portions of the armor are not raised as much. Paint application is pretty good. The letterings, numbers and symbols are sharp. The silver areas have to handled with care as they can be scratched easily.

The back of his legs look flat.

Articulation is great as you expect from a Revoltech figure. I like the various ways his shoulder cannon can be positioned. The silver thigh flaps can be opened and closed too.

One area which I don't like is the placement of hip joint. He looks fine in a running pose, but if we pose his legs sidewards, it'll appear the joint is on his upper thigh.

For accessories he's got the shoulder cannon. The guns on his arms come preattached and they can be removed. Would have liked if he came with the rectangular missile launcher as well. There are also gun blasts effects which I like a lot. They are darker and richer in colour. One thing though is that some of the points are very sharp. He also comes with two extra pairs of hands.

You can use the blast base from Iron Man with him.

He's slightly shorter than the Hasbro version and around the same height as the Initiative War Machine.

He's the same height as the Revoltech Iron Man.

I think the Hasbro War Machine looks better. Unless you're planning to do some serious posing, I think you can give this Revoltech War Machine a miss.

Thor Comic Series 6" Loki

Have been looking forward to this Loki figure. The ML13 one didnt last long on the display shelf. I have limited space. His horns were long, the cape was too big and he kept falling so he had to make way. Even when I changed the display, for some reason, I always passed on him. Finally this major villain gets a spot on the shelf.

Not used to seeing him him in this outfit. He's a nice looking figure. Especially like the face sculpt. He's got an angry, pissed off expression. One thing though is that he is looking downwards a little. Like the fur details. The shoulder covers remind me a bit of Kraven. Like the arm detail and the black figernails. The knee joints on my figures are weak and I have trouble posing him.

Articulation. The head can rotate. Shoulders have ball and hinge, he can only raise his arms till the fur. There's bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, wrists have swivel and hinge. Torso pivot. Rotating and hinge hips, sorry not sure what to call this. The whole leg rotates upwards, can't really do much with this. There's double jointed knees and ankles have swivel and hinge.

That's as far as his arms can be raised.

A good thing is the fur cover can be removed...

... and maybe be used for a pillow.

The hips in action.

He's taller than ML13 Loki and Walmart Thor by around half a head, or by the back of his head.

He's shorter than the MS Thor by half a head and just slightly shorter than the movie Thor.

He'll look good on the shelf, but just in a standing position.

Thor Movie Series 6" Thor

Finally, some new Marvel 6" figures. No, its not available locally as far as I know.

This is a really nice figure. Good proportions. The head may seem longish, but thats just the helmet. Its got a good likeness to Chris Hemsworth. Great detail on his armour and clothes. The patterned black areas on his torso look like chain mail while the bumpy blue areas look like tough hide. His pants are leather like and the seams and stitches can be seen. Paint application is pretty good, a minor gripe is he's got some flesh on his helmet. Would have preferred if the helmet was silver instead of dark gray. His boots are shiny black.

Close-up of his head and torso. There's some hair underneath his helmet at the side of his face. The facial hair was pretty well done. My figure seems to have had a snack off screen though. You can also make out a little patch growing just below his lips.  The cape is stuck on better than the 3.75" versions. I feel that the bright blue stripes on his collar are out of place. Think a matching blue with his armour, red or black would have been better.

Like the flowy cape, but its pretty stiff and too long. Its touching the ground and it hinders posing.

Articulation. The head can rotate and look up and down. Shoulders have ball and hinge joints. There's bicep swivel, double jointed elbows and wrist swivel. Torso pivot, it can be rotated fully and he can bend forwards and lean backwards slightly. Hips have ball and hinge joints. There's upper thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankles have swivel and hinge.

Not taking the helmet wings into acount, he's half a head shorter than the MS Thor and SDCC ML Thor. He's half a head taller than the Walmart ML Thor.

He's stands more than half a head above Iron-Man. I think its okay. Hulk needs to be taller.

Right, that's all for now, but before I go, here's an exclusive deleted scene from the movie.
