Marvel Super Hero Mashers Captain America, Spider-man & Dr Doom

A new Marvel toy line has showed up in local stores. I did not even know about them. Their animated look and good looking articulation prompted me to pick some up.

The other basic figure (this size packaging) is Hawkeye. There are two other larger sized packaging where figures come with "upgrades", that is extra weapons and accessories. Those figures include Hulk, Thor, Iron Patriot, Iron Man and Wolverine.

These figures are in the 6" scale. They have an animated style look which I like. The paint on them is hit and miss. Some figures have excellent paint. Do take note of the eyes and the paint at the joints. They have holes on their bodies where you can attach various accessories.

Captain America's head is small but other than that he looks good.

He comes with his shield. It's rather small but at least he came with one.

Spidey looks great too. Unfortunately his costume is lacking the web lines.

He comes with a webbing accessory. It's overly blue in colour and looks more like a jet of water to me. A good thing about Spidey is that he has holes on the inside of his wrists instead of on the outside. This way we can have him shoot his webbing. Very nice.

Dr Doom's torso is large. But despite that and his cape, he can stand well.

These figures have good articulation. They all have a peg hinge neck, peg hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, peg hinge hips, thigh swivel, swivel hinge knees and ankle hinge and pivot. It would have been great if they had some torso articulation.

Here's the fun part. You can remove parts and limbs of the figures.

And you can mix it up to make a unique figure. Here's a couple of combinations I came up with.

Comparison shots. I like that there's size difference between the characters.

Here's how they compare with Marvel Legends.

These are good, fun figures. These are what the Iron Man 3 Assemblers should have been like. Thanks for viewing!
