There has been a drought of DC figures on my blog. Looking back there has only been one main DC post in the last four months. So here's Superman to lead a DC comeback.
This figure is based on the New 52 design. Superman has an updated look. He's now wearing a Kryptonian battle armour which resembles his classic costume. The most noticeable difference between this and his previous look is that the trunks are missing. His hairstyle has slightly changed, his armour has a mandarin collar, he's got a new belt and the emblem on his cape is now black in colour. I think its a refreshing look. And I like the tones of the colours used.
I rarely read comics anymore. So after browsing through some images online, I think he's got a decent headsculpt. He looks rather boyish though. I like the blue streaks in his hair which is more noticeable on this figure. It gives him a more comic book feel. The body is pretty much the same as previous DC Universe Classics figures. There are sculpted lines on his armour and boots. The emblem on his chest is sculpted on and his belt is stuck on. Its a a very nice looking figure overall.
Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, single hinge elbows, wrist swivel, ab crunch, waist swivel, peg hinge hips, thigh swivel, single hinge knees and ankle hinge.

Comparison pics. I don't see Superman in this figure, he's more like Superboy.
I quite like this figure. Now the question is where to put him... Thanks for viewing!
