Marvel Universe Jubilee

This new series has started showing up in more stores. I've almost gotten the whole set save for the Amazing Bagman. Poor Jubilee looks set to spend some time on the pegs, no one seems to want her. The poor paint application is one of the reasons why. I must have spent at least 5 minutes choosing one and I still wasn't happy with it. Out of convenience, I picked it up anyway.

Looks like she was supposed to come with a cotton candy accessory looking at the image on the back of the card.

Starting with the paint. The problematic area is her face. For my figure, she left traces of her last meal and there's big splotch of flesh paint on her hair behind her ear. It isn't so bad compared to what I saw. Some figures had eyes at different levels or the pupils painted at the extreme ends. In some cases the flesh colour was very thin and you could easily see the black base underneath. There's yellow paint applied on her coat. Its overdone in some areas, especially on her sleeves. Paint issues aside, this is a good figure. She's got a nice headsculpt. I particularly like how her hair came out. Its short, spiked and neat. She's on a new type of body. Its a little thin and straight but fortunately she's got a coat to cover it up. Her legs also seem abit long. Her belt is glued on. I was so focussed on inspecting her face paint that I didn't notice a patch of glue on her abs.

The comic shot is X-Factor #62.

She comes with an energy accessory which you can slide onto her hand. It doesn't stay on very well though.

Jubilee has improved articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel at her gloves, torso articulation, ball joint hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. Her collar restricts her from looking up...

... and she cannot kneel fully due to her coat.

Some comparison shots. She's taller than previous Marvel Universe female figures. I'm quite certain she's supposed to be shorter than the other characters in the pic.

Do pick her up so stores will bring in more cases. Lol. Thanks for viewing!
