Marvel Legends Infinite Series Baron Zemo (Soldiers of A.I.M)

Happy Lunar New Year! It's been quite a busy few days and I finally have some time to get back to the toys. Baron Zemo has been kept waiting and he's not too happy...

This figure is a welcome update of Baron Zemo. I prefer this look over the Toy Biz version. He's labelled as a Soldier of A.I.M on the package. I can't recall if he ever worked with them. He's got a great head sculpt. I like the subtle creases in his mask. The lines on it were sculpted in and were pretty well painted. The body uses the Bucky Captain America base body. He has on a shoulder gun holster. It was done very well. There's nice detail in the straps, buckles and holster covers. The letter Z was sculpted on both holsters so you know that they're his. The guns are not removable unfortunately. The belt was nicely done too. The "skirt" portion is flexible enough to not restrict leg articulation too much.

The shoulder gun holsters and the belt can be removed.

Accessories. He comes with a sword and handgun. The sword is stiff. and has an nice circle design on the guard.

He can carry the sword on his belt. It fits tightly into the loop.

The handgun is unique. It has a pattern design on the handle. I don't know if he ever used such a gun. It looks more like something Kraven would carry.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

I love the accessories. There are several characters on the same base body who we can use them on.

Great figure. Thanks for viewing!

Marvel Legends Infinite Series Marvel NOW! Captain America

What a start to the year for us Marvel Legends fans! Hot on the heels of the Spider-man series is the Captain America series. First up is Cap himself.

This is the Marvel NOW! Captain America. The costume differs from the classic one in that it has more noticeable gear elements. I recall reading somewhere that Marvel wanted to give him a modern look. Gone is the winged mask and in its place a helmet. He's got protective gear on his torso and arms, and he has knee pads. The figure captures his current look really well. The head sculpt is just so Cap. You can tell it's Steve Rogers under the helmet. The body is all new and it was very well sculpted. There's lots of great detail. Check him out for yourself. Click images to enlarge. He's got some some minor paint issues. Some blue from his helmet has gone onto his face and eyes. His midriff has paint rubs and chipping, and it seems to be getting worse the more I handle it.

He comes with his trusty shield.

It utilises the hinge peg and clip system. I prefer this to straps overall as the shield stays in place on his wrist better most of the time. What I don't like about it is the noticeable gap between the shield and his back.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. The waist joint was extremely tight and I had to put him back in ice to get it to budge.

Great figure. Marvel Legends Now is looking awesome. Thanks for viewing!

Marvel Legends Infinite Series Ultimate Green Goblin BAF

Goblin SMASH!

The Ultimate Green Goblin is the Build-A-Figure (BAF) for the Spider-man Marvel Legends Infinite Series. Here he is unassembled.

You need to get 6 figures to build him. The list can be found in the image below. This set of instructions comes with every figure.

If I didn't already know who he was, I would have thought this figure was a mutated Hulk. Speaking of which, the body shares similar parts to the Avengers movie Hulk. The arms, hands and feet are new. And unlike the Hulk's they have bumpy skin. The spikes on his arms look worn and has chips and cracks on them. He's got a great head sculpt. He's got a really mean look. He's snarling and bearing his teeth. There are bumps on his head and also on his horns. The ears look like Abomination's.

This version of the Green Goblin can shoot fireballs. Hence he comes with flaming effects accessories which you add on to his back and forearms.

Here's how he looks with them. They are pretty cool and make him less Hulk like.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint head, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot.

The flames don't fit but you can make them work with other characters.

Nice figure. I would have preferred if we got another character as the BAF though. I'm not familiar with the Ultimate Marvel characters. Thanks for viewing!
