Young Justice Amazo

Here's the Young Justice Collect and Connect Amazo.

You need to get these 3 2-packs to complete Amazo. You can tell which parts each pack contains by looking at what part of Amazo is coloured on the front, or you could just look on the back where its stated.

Before I get to Amazo, let me just sidetrack to the figures of the 2-packs. I've already covered Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian which you can see here. The Flash is pretty much your standard adult figure for this line. Kid Flash is the same figure as the single carded version except for some paint differences.

The 2-pack version is the one on the right in the picture below. The paint differences are there's flesh visible underneath his eyes, there's no red paint details on his torso, the logo is painted within the circle and he's got a black line around his waist. I did a quick check online, Kid Flash has appeared with and without the red details on his costume. The area around his eyes is usually visible and he has that black line around his waist. I would say the 2-pack version of this figure is more cartoon accurate.

Chesire is a great figure. Especially like her mask. Its well sculpted and painted. You can make out a crack on her mask just above her right eye. Not sure if its just my figure, from the images I've seen online there doesn't appear to be a crack on her mask. Anyway, the sais on her waist are not removeable. She needs a base to stand. The base is the same as the one that came with Miss Martian. Ra's Al Ghul looks a bit weird too me. He reminds me of a rat. Possibly due to his hairdo, eyebrows and whiskers like moustache. The body is great though, I like his cape. He can stand fine on his own.

Now on to Amazo. There are 6 parts in total to put him together.

Here's how the joints look like.

Amazo is a pretty nice figure. He's mean looking, tall and imposing as you'll see below. I think he's a little thin and could use more bulk. The black lines on his body is kind of distracting. He's missing some wristbands which would make him look better and not so bare. Would have preferred matte green instead of metallic for his pants.

He stands well above the Flash and Kid Flash.

Let's see the League deal with three Amazos at once.

Amazo has the same five points of articulation like the other figures in the line.

This is a great bunch of figures to get. You get 5 new figures plus Amazo. Looking forwrad to the next series of single carded figures which will have Superman, Green Lantern and most importantly Artemis. Thanks for viewing!

Young Justice Martian Manhunter & Miss Martian 2 Pack

Hellooo Megan! And J'onn too!

This is one of three 2-packs you need to get to build Amazo. This pack comes with the legs.

Martian Manhunter is a nice figure. Nice sculpt. Like the colours, especially the red trimmings on his cape. He can stand well on his own.

Hes smaller and shorter than the JLU versions but he looks the best of this lot.

Miss Martian is a great figure. The likeness is spot on. Its like she stepped right out from the show. She also has freckles on her face, very nicely done. I like the vibrant colours. She cannot stand on her own and needs the base. Only one was provided, unlike the first series of 2 packs where we got two. The base is red in colour this time round and it does not have the character logo or name printed on it.

These figures have only five points of articulation. At the neck, shoulders and hips. Not that you'll be posing them much but Jonn's cape hinders his arm movement. And Miss Martian's cape and skirt hinder arm and leg movement.

Updated group shot. Hope we get Artemis soon. And Zatanna too.

Thanks for viewing!

Men in Black 3: Agent J & Agent K

Here come the Men in Black.

Nice packaging. The figure stands out well against the blue background.

Let's start with  the suits. It is a separate piece from the figure and its not removeable unless you cut it. Its rather big and it makes the characters look beefy. Theres some nice detail on them. You can make out the folds and creases and the pockets. Its made of flexible material so the figures maintain their articulation.

The figure of Agent J has a decent likeness.  The paint on the figure is poor. There's slop on his collar and you'll want to watch out for the hair and moustache. Some of his hair may be unpainted and there were several which I saw with slanted moustaches. Another thing to check for is the paint on his tie.

Agent K has some likeness to Tommy Lee Jones. Something is off which I can't put my finger on. Maybe its the cheeks. Anyway, paint wise hes also got the slop around the collar but you should have less trouble with this figure than J.

Close up of the two.

J comes with shotgun and K comes with a particle randomizer. These were the names given on the instructions sheet.

The figures each come with a roleplay ring which converts into an accessory. J's is pictured left in the picture below and K's is on the right. A good thing about the rings is the clips have springs so they'll stay on securely, even on adult fingers if they're not too large.

J's converts into a Sonic Drifter. Its some sort of transportation device. It kind of reminds me of a Segway.

K's ring converts into a Galactic Racer. There's a green alien piloting it.

You can clip it to the figure's waist.

Both figures have the same articulation. The head can be rotated fully, shoulders have ball and hinge, elbows are single hinge, wrists swivel, hips have ball joints. The legs can be raised up and to the side somewhat. Finally, knees have single hinge.

Some comparison shots. These figures are shorter than most other 3.75" scale figures. They actually don't look too bad standing with this lot.

I know many of us would love to do a head swap on these so here's the joint underneath. It's the thin pinhead type and if you're not careful, it'll break.

I think a lot of other heads are going to look small on their bodies. Crusher Creel looks great though.

These are out now at local retail. Thanks for viewing!
